Learn how to properly ship hazardous materials by ground at one of our many DOT Hazardous materials Training courses. Let our experienced staff walk you through the steps of preparing and offering hazardous materials for shipment, from classification through packaging and shipping papers. This class fulfills your 49 CFR initial and recurrent training requirements.
Who is This Course for?
All personnel involved in the shipment of hazardous materials (including hazardous waste) are required to receive initial DOT hazardous materials training and recurrent training every three years. According to 49 CFR 172.704, DOT hazardous materials training is required for personnel classified as “hazmat employees,” defined at 49 CFR 171.8 to include employees who load and unload, package, mark and label, prepare shipping papers or hazardous waste manifests, or operate a vehicle used to transport hazardous materials.

OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard (29 CFR 1910.120) requires that personnel who perform cleanup operations at waste sites—including Superfund sites, RCRA corrective action sites, or even voluntary cleanup sites—receive 40 hours of initial classroom instruction. Join our experienced instructor for five-days of learning all the comprehensive requirements and putting it into practice with hands-on activities.
OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard (29 CFR 1910.120) requires at least 24 hours of Technician level training for personnel who will stop, contain, and clean up hazardous substance releases in emergency response situations. Join our experienced staff for this 3-day seminar to use the knowledge and skills gained in the training to take part in exercises, tabletop activities, and hands-on simulated spill response.
OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard (29 CFR 1910.120) requires eight hours of annual refresher training for waste site cleanup workers, as well as for workers at hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities.
